product description

Zeolite - Clinoptilolite Wide Rangeø 12 µm 1900g
v a n t e r r e Natural zeolite clinoptilolite with fine grinding of approximately 12 µm and wide particle size distribution. Its particle size is 90% below 42 µm. That means it's more for those who don't prefer ultra-fine but still fine with some coarser particles up to 90 µm (about 2%). Without nanoparticles! Through thermal activation and special hot grinding, it is highly active and has a cation exchange capacity of 173 meq/100g (1.73 mol/kg). Micronization in the ring roller mill (a mill that operates by friction) occurs in addition to thermal activation at a temperature of 150-170°C. Like our other zeolite and many other high-quality zeolites, it comes from the Carpathian belt. It has a light, slightly gray-green color.

Due to the wider particle size distribution, it is suitable for many different applications, to name just a few: all cosmetic applications for skin, mouth, and body care, alkaline baths (3-4 tablespoons in the tub), soft peelings, and applications for animals such as dogs, cats, horses, cows, pigs, for aquariums, and not to forget for soil improvement, lawn care, as a natural leaf fertilizer for pest control, etc.

The datasheet with particle size distribution analysis and the chart for particle size distribution are also available for viewing.

The particle size distribution in numbers is listed on page 2 of the datasheet.
Something more about particle sizes:
Every grinding generates particle sizes from X to Y, there is no grinding where only one particle size of e.g., 20 µm or 50 µm is produced. To achieve that, it would require very elaborate sieving, and a figure like 20 µm can mean a lot: average, minimum, or maximum particle size. Since this seems a bit too imprecise for us, we have each of our zeolites examined for the exact particle size distribution so that everyone can see which particle sizes are contained.

Zeolite - Clinoptilolite is not legally considered a remedy, pharmaceutical auxiliary substance, medicine, dietary supplement, medical preparation, or food in the European Union. It is listed in the FiBL input list (Organic Inputs) 2011 and has EU approval as feed additive 1g568. Zeolite has received a GRAS (Generally Recognized As Safe) assessment from the FDA US Food and Drug Administration. However, this is not relevant for the EU.
