product description

Natural Bentonite Montmorillonite - 1400g in BPA-free 2 Liter Canister:

Our natural Bentonite Montmorillonite is a naturally activated calcium-sodium bentonite from the Mediterranean region with a high content of Montmorillonite (>90%). It is of pharmaceutical purity, a very fine, homogeneous, light powder and forms a smooth mass in small amounts of water. It is without any additives, and no chemical activation process is required, unlike most other bentonites. The Montmorillonite content is over 90%, and the silica content is over 60%. Datasheet attached. It is filled by a specialist company in a phthalate-free 2-liter HDPE canister.

Unfortunately, the occurrence of geogenically activated Bentonite from the Aegean is depleted, and our specialized supplier for this mineral has informed us that Bentonite of this quality is no longer available in all of Europe. Our supplier certifies the Bentonite as a pharmaceutical auxiliary and also does not want to use Bentonite that is activated by chemical processes. Therefore, we have now switched to Bentonite from Fort Benton, Wyoming, the original location of this mineral, after which it is named. However, mixing with this Bentonite is a little more difficult to stir than before. It does not dissolve as easily in water as the other one, all mixing attempts in the plant result in a completely homogeneous mixture, but it acts a little slower in dissolving in liquids. You need to stir a little longer, which at the same time increases the electricity and thus also the effect. This Bentonite can absorb up to 10 times its weight in water and swell up to 16 times its volume.

The best way to use pure Bentonite is with a tea strainer, through which you stir the Bentonite into liquids through the strainer, similar to flour through a flour sieve. This way, no lumps are formed, and the particles can swell without forming large clumps. It also does not necessarily have to be a plastic sieve, as long as the sieve does not come into contact with water. That would be counterproductive because water conducts electricity just like metal and would weaken the Bentonite. In the dry state, metal can indeed be used with Bentonite as well as Zeolite.
